In Avencas, Estoril, a significant mansion renovation near the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, which also included the construction of a total new building attached to it, unfolded.

Our involvement began when our client purchased the building with a project already approved by Cascais’ town hall and originally developed by the office Artradi. The renovation included transforming the mansion’s basement into a gym and spa, while the new block accommodated parking. A duplex penthouse with an infinity pool crowned the design, offering stunning ocean views. Flexible apartments featured premium materials like white marble Estremoz and wood flooring.

Exterior finishes ensured harmony, with the mansion painted in serene blue and the new block adorned with fishscale tiles. Unique design elements like sliding louvers echoed the ocean’s rhythm. Additionally, at the original mansion, the two duplexes on the top floors from Artradi’s project were transformed into a single penthouse with double-height ceilings. Here, the original ornaments, stained glasses, and other architectural details were meticulously restored, preserving the heritage and charm of the historic structure. The goal was to blend tradition with contemporary design in harmony.
